The UK's, Ben Crone, recently took delivery of his new Absolu. Playing off of our standard Absolu S2 paint scheme, we worked with Ben to switch out some painted sections for the nude carbon and vice versa. The look is nothing short of stunning and proves the breadth of "custom" possibilities while working off of some of our set paint templates.
Ben gave us a quick update on how the frame is going so far:
"I am very very happy with my Absolu. If I'm honest, due to work and
British weather I haven't been out on it as much as I would have liked
but the few times I have been out I've been very impressed. I was
expecting it to feel different/better than my other bikes but not to the
extent that it does.
It's a lot smoother, while also more responsive than any other frame
I've ridden and it feels exceptional when descending at speed. It's
certainly faster too, I took 90 seconds off my PB for a hilly 40 mile
route I have despite riding it on tired legs!
It's built up with the following:
Campag Super Record Groupset
Easton EA90 SLX Wheelset
Look Keo Carbon Ti Pedals
Specialized Toupe Saddle
Easton EC90 SLX Bars
Ritchey Carbon Matrix Stem.
As pictured it weighs 6.9 kg."
